Resourceful Opportunists

Friday, May 15th, 2009

I went to the zoo with my son Anton last Friday.  We checked the new Penguin exhibit.  It happened to be the live feeding time…they dumped a bucket of live baby trouts.  Before the penguin can find them and despite the constant ‘Get away!’ from the caregivers, the more resourceful seagulls and crows were already starting the feast.  It’s pretty funny.  These opportunists really know how to ‘take advantage of the system’.sophia-zoo-3-s.jpgsophia-zoo-5-s.jpgsophia-zoo-7-s.jpg  This guy was just bluffingsophia-zoo-2-s.jpg

Zoo Time!

Saturday, May 24th, 2008

Today my son Anton’s school had a zoo trip. So in the morning we, kids, parents, teachers, all hopped onto the big yellow school buses and headed to the Woodlank Park Zoo, one of the most beautiful zoos in the nation. Inside the zoo, there were kids running around everywhere. Seems like the all the pre-schools from the whole metro were here. But we had some quality father-son time there.
