Absolutely Beautiful…Angela’s Wedding

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

Beautiful and full of fun! I don’t know. It’s hard to describe Angela’s wedding in a few words. Maybe it was also a very pleasant experience for me? I arrived at the beautiful Woodmark Hotel and immediately recognized an old lady sitting in the lobby. She was Angela’s grandma. And then her mother Linda walked by and started talking about how much she enjoyed viewing the engagement session images/video. Later, the groom’s mother, Jean, told me her son never took any serious photograph before the engagement session. They all recognized me immediately because they watched the video about the session and I felt I knew them already as I worked on the slideshow for Angela for so many times. :-)

The couple put a lot of efforts into the slideshow and I admit I definitely felt the weight after I volunteered to put it together. But it turned out great and both the hosts and guests enjoyed it very much.

This wedding was great because you could feel the friendship between the two families, and the love among each family members. It was an honor and pure pleasure to photograph this beautiful event.

I stayed until after mid-night because there was a pretty ‘R’ rated event happened in the cold, dark water of Lake Washington :-)

Sarah, Lauren At The Botanic Garden

Wednesday, June 18th, 2008

It was a gorgeous day after weeks of bad weather and I met up Julie and her two daughters Sarah and Lauren for a portrait session at the Bellevue Botanic Garden.  Julie dressed them both in white skirts and shoes and they were just so beautiful and cute!!!  We let the two girls led the way and made stops to take images.  Sarah and Lauren were very, very photogenic and we were having a great time and lot of fun!

The whole family will go to France for a month long vacation, and then Sarah and Lauren will be the flower girls at Lisa and Yoann’s wedding!  I am so looking forward to photographing them again at that special event, as I know they will be so cute and beautiful.

Kristy & Rebecca At Discovery Park

Tuesday, June 10th, 2008

In fact, it’s Kristy, Rebecca and their puppy Mocky, only I am not certain I got the name right! :-)  Anyway, the weather was just perfect around noon and the park was just beautiful.  Discovery Park is always my favorite.  I am especially fond of the tall grasses on the slope near the south bluff facing the sound.   We  started off getting some nice images there and  hiked our way down to the  beach.

What a nice session!

Tidal Pool

Tuesday, June 10th, 2008

I took my son for a beach walk and stumbled on a low tide.  It was cloudy, windless, and quiet.  The sea seemed to be lazy, slowly exposing its rocky bottom, leaving many tidal pools for us to explored.  I had been reading a tidal pool picture book to my son and both of us were quite delighted to see the real things.

Janet & Evan At The Fairmont Olympic Hotel

Thursday, June 5th, 2008

WHAT A GREAT PARTY!!

Last Saturday Janet and Evan had their wedding at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel, and me and my second photographer Mark Ye were very fortunate to cover the event. It was great! Everyone was just so happy for the lovely couple and were laughing, dancing, and sharing great moments.

Janet and Evan actually had their wedding at Greece last month and they came back to host this event to share their union with friends and families in the States. I got to give the Greek photographer a lot of credits because Janet and Evan were sooooo good at working with us :-) It rained a little that afternoon but when we got out to get some images, there was a nice sun break so we were able to make some great images.

Back to the hotel, we got to witness a great ceremony and to hear all the touching toasts and their love stories. The event was hosted by my good colleagues Austin and Jeremy of NiteLite Entertainment. Woodland Flowers did the flower arrangement and Janet’s bouquet. Her wedding gown was from Bellevue Bridal. All in all, it was a beautiful wedding!
