Zoo Time!

Saturday, May 24th, 2008

Today my son Anton’s school had a zoo trip. So in the morning we, kids, parents, teachers, all hopped onto the big yellow school buses and headed to the Woodlank Park Zoo, one of the most beautiful zoos in the nation. Inside the zoo, there were kids running around everywhere. Seems like the all the pre-schools from the whole metro were here. But we had some quality father-son time there.

With Anton looking on, Andrew, his classmate, was feeding the bird:

Lisa and Yoann at the Olympic Sculpture Park

Sunday, May 18th, 2008

It was supposed to be in the high eighties last Saturday. I put on a short and headed out to Seattle to meeting Lisa and Yoann for their engagement session. But after I got out, I found that there was a nice breeze and the sky was cover by clouds. Where was that high degree? I went back and put on a pair of pants. Who knows.

The Sculpture park was busy with a lot of visitors. And obviously, love was in the air as there was a wedding and at least another couple doing the engagement session, in addition to us: Lisa, Yoann, and myself.

Lisa teaches French and Yoann is a French. And they met here in Seattle. The rest was history :-) Lisa and Yoann are very nice people. The park was beautiful and the weather was perfect. We just walked around and photograhed and had a fun time!

Lisa and Yoann will tie the knot in July. Below are few images. And here is a link to a online slideshow: http://www.jackzyoung.com/Webshow/Lisa_Yoann_Engagement/index.html

Museum of Glass

Saturday, May 10th, 2008

I was to meet Jeremy Almeda of Endlessloveproductions for a video interview and then a couple for their July wedding.  Both parties were in Tacoma.  So before going to the two meetings, I swung by to the Museum of Glass.  Well, after finally made it into Tacoma through the rush hour traffic, the museum was closed, but I still had a chance to admire the art pieces outside.

A Great Session at Lake Tapps

Tuesday, May 6th, 2008

The weather was perfect after a cold Saturday. I drove to Angela and her fiance’s home near Lake Tapps in the afternoon. My first task: get the approval of Ms. Bailey, Angela and her fiance’s dog. Fortunately Bailey was super friendly and cute! We got some shots inside their new home with Bailey, then headed out to Lake Tapps just a couple of miles away.

The lake area was beautiful. Even though we had a great weather, there weren’t a whole lot people out in the park so it was ideal for some fun photo session! Angela definitely had previous modeling experience and had some great ideas. Her fiance was a good sport to play along. They were very nice and easy and fun to photograph!

Angela and her fiance will wed at the beautiful Woodmark Hotel in Kirkland on 6/21/08.

Below are few images we took:

And another fun thing that day was that I had Jeremy Almeda of EndlessLoveProduction videographing the session and Jeremy did a splendid job! You can view it here:
